Programs in Special Care Facilities

Rick is a trained therapeutic music specialist and has provided healing music in a wide variety of settings including children's hospitals, schools, and various residential care facilities. He has worked with pediatric cancer patients, children and adults in intensive care, brain-damaged individuals, severely developmentally-delayed teens, hospice patients, at-risk teens, and alzheimers/dementia patients. The musical activities Rick uses are tailored to meet the needs of the individual or group he is working with. The activities often include singing, songwriting, and playing various instruments such as the guitar, autoharp, ukulele, spoons, shakers, musical saw, and keyboard. Services often include room-to-room visits and working with small groups.
